The Renault windows improvement kit includes seals to be placed on the front deflector to limit the air flow at this level and outside handles for not having to handle the zippers to open the door. It eventually complements the rear deflectors. All of this is of course available in the online shop.

Renault will manufacture new side windows for its Twizy

Edit 24/02/2018
Renault has abandoned this project

Since a long time, the small world of Twizy hoped that the manufacturer has grave concerns of the problem. It seems to be the case.

At the quite important meeting between Twizy owners and Renault on last April 27, we had the opportunity to discover a new window prototype developed by Renault... but pictures were forbidden.

So, here is the very original principle of the side windows of the future, that I illustrated with a rough scheme.

Why not a Twizy pickup ?

2 comments :
There are pictures that make great noise in the Twizy fans's microcosm . They represent a Twizy transformed into a mini-truck with a detachable trailer, which gives a quadricycle with 6 wheels!
On my side, I think that a Twizy pickup would also have some chances, then by modifiing a little the 6-wheels Twizy picture, here is my Twizy "pickup" version...

MultiGo, the brand new luggage and bicycle carrier, just for Twizy !

No comments :

Convinced that the Twizy's future is to become more and more practical and useful, I have imagined an important evolution of Trigo: the MultiGo whose name comes from the fact that this luggage and bicycle carrier can take multiple positions, while the Trigo has only 3.

A member of the excellent English forum Twizy Owners asked me the problem of transporting his golf bag; 17kg and above a little over 1 meter long with the clubs, which can not easily fit the Twizy's interior especially if your are two!

Here is my solution, but since I do not play golf I simulated a golf bag with a trash bag that I filled with cartons having roughly the length of a club. I hope the merger will not shock the fans of this great sport!

Should we cut the wings of the Twizy?

1 comment :
My dear Twizy suffers from a birth defect that is the lack of side windows. Since minds are full of ideas to compensate this, but apparently no fully satisfactory solution has been found so far.
And if the solution was to change the sacrosanct scissor doors? Should we cut the wings of the Twizy? If you like to be a bit iconoclastic, follow me in this direction >>
